LOL

When I write 2k? Anarchy.

When I write 12k? So much love it's ridiculous.

If you've missed the wank, you are more than welcome to come read my story at [livejournal.com profile] takingitinturns. Found here: http://community.livejournal.com/takingitinturns/6914.html#cutid1

JUST FOR THE RECORD: I have never made any, ANY accusations about who the anon individual was. Please, DON'T PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH. I have never, had any personal interaction with [livejournal.com profile] deadwoodpecker until now and have not been privy to details of any other personal interaction she has had with friends of mine or any previous wank or WHATEVER. *facepalm*

BUT CAUTION because my writing might actually make you angry and make you leave anon comments about how much my writing BLOWS and is actually fecal matter. Just a warning.

TRY TO REFRAIN: from attacking the anon personally. If you have something to say, be nice to them. If you're mean, you're letting them win. Okay? Do it for me.

My OTP has kicked me out. Lol. That's okay. I'll be interested in seeing what people think of my [livejournal.com profile] hp_spring_fling...

In other news... I was going to start my rarities but it's a very unfamiliar pairing and I'm going to wait until my confidence comes back a little stronger. Not that the anon has truly gotten me but I think that maybe I just don't fit in the with the het!world anymore. Which has been something I've realized more and more. I'm just a big queer and I like to be pervy and cracky and I offend people, which I'm fine with. Oh and I'll post pictures of my new and improved, dyke hair cut.

Anyone out there on the flist that has experience writing longish Snape? Cause I might need some help with brain storming. Bah.

RANDOM:
Okay, in [livejournal.com profile] hogwartsishome we get sorted into house and when we sort other people we get to live "Signature tags". LAUGH AWAY BECAUSE OMG THESE TAGS ARE SO MUCH MADE OF WIN:

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks!!

I imagine Hugo to have none. He's sooooo skinny. Clothed or nude, either way works for me. I loves him.

[identity profile] dianaweasley.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
ok so hes a draco. i see draco as a skinny pale sexy blonde god. lol so skinny it is. it will take me a bit but will do. cos im more of a brawny bloke drawer. *hugs* but he will be drop dead sexy. ive got a few naughty ideas for his piercings and tats. any particular tats in mind?

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope! Although the more ridiculous and hipster they are, the more love I have.

You're a doll for doing this.

Nah. You know, wank has been going around. I guess it was just a matter of time.

It's true. It's just the only het!pairing I represent hardcore. Ya know? It's true. Some of you all het-oriented kids play hardcore. Which I love. You pervy fiends. I think it's comments like that that make slashers on the defense. Ya know? People were like OMG INCEST SO BAD.

*shrugs* Maybe it's just that corner of fandom. But they aren't very keen on the kinky.

I just wanted them to push the back button.

H/G OTPers are horrible people becasue of a few pieces of wank?

Really not fair.
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] kezzabear.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I don't generally do exchanges so I probably am not familiar with the things you are talking about. It just read like all H/G shippers were crazy fruitcakes.

"H/G is a fun pairing to play with like any other -- but yeah, clearly their OTP fans are just horrible people." It just stands out and it's not clear you're referring to only a few.

Like I said I've not participated in exchanges and I have found many exchange communities that are definitely not my thing. I generally don't stay around for the fireworks, I hit the back button.

It's my OTP, but I wouldn't call myself a horrible person. *shrugs*

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
It's mine too.

[livejournal.com profile] ragdoll speaks freely here and we know what she means because usually this is all flocked and pretty much everyone that hangs around here runs in mostly the same fest circles.
(deleted comment)

[identity profile] kezzabear.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
I wasn't personally insulted, I just didn't realise you were talking about a specific subset. It came across like all - as in all of you evil biatches. And I am so not a biatch ... unless you're talking about like ... the last Tim Tam then I say all is fair in love and war and Tim Tam pilfering

It's what you (I) get for dropping in unannounced. I'm happy to have cleared it up though. It's definitely turned me further away from fests and exchanges. *eyes them warily and goes to hide*

[identity profile] liriop.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry to come in here, but I couldn't refrain from giving my two cents, because you shouldn't be accusing someone with no real evidence. And if you're so sure it was deadwoodpecker, why don't you write her alias? It's so obvious you're talking about her.

The only problem is that you don't know her in the least. A while ago there was a meme around in which people had to describe the poster with one single word. I used the word frank to describe her, because she is totally frank always.

That last wank about lunalovepotter's gift occurred exactly because dwp couldn't be quiet and didn't try to be more polite when criticizing the person that gave that fanart. That should have given you a clue about her personality. She is totally outspoken and always says exactly what she thinks, risking being rude. She would never hide behind an anonymous post.

[identity profile] luvscharlie.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
You're certainly entitled to give your two cents worth.

I'll be the first person to admit when I'm wrong, and this time I was wrong. I certainly did not accuse her in the community, nor would I have, but I did believe it was her.

As for the WL stuff, I have my opinion, you have yours. We don't agree.

I will say there's a difference in being frank and being mean when criticizing a person's work-- most particularly for an anonymous fest where the author/artist has no ability to defend themselves. What she said at WL and Smutty_claus wasn't frank, it was mean. I've never, in all the fests in which I've written, seen someone call someone's work complete rubbish or the worst piece of shit they've ever seen. She did that, and it was a terribly nasty thing to do.

However, back to the original purpose of my reply. It clearly was not Deadwoodpecker who posted the anonymous comment in question. I apologize for assuming that it was. I do apologize when I'm wrong. This time, I was.

[identity profile] luvscharlie.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
And just so you know, I did apologize to Deadwoodpecker for making inaccurate assumptions, for what it's worth.

[identity profile] liriop.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen it. Thank you for doing that. I really don't have anything to do with all that, but I'm glad that we all are doing our best to avoid flaming the H/G community even more.

[identity profile] mhersheybar.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry, but I have to jump in to say that if I was going to call Ella a spineless coward, I'd do it to her face. And if I was right, she'd agree with me.

One of the many things I love about her (and we are probably about as different as two people can be), is that she refuses to make excuses for her opinions, she readily admits and recognizes (and even enjoys) the fact that she can be controversial and in your face, and yet, when she makes a mistake, she'll own up to it. If you followed the entire flaming drama during the last fic exchange, you would have found her long post doing just that.

What's more, being anonymous is sooo not her style. If she's going to be in the middle of some big drama, then dammit, she's going to want credit for it.

Although, I suspect you all made her day by suspecting her and dragging her name (albeit through a poorly disguised code) into all this.

[identity profile] luvscharlie.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, as I just said over on your friend's page, when I'm wrong I admit. I clearly was, and I said so.

[identity profile] mhersheybar.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
We must have crossed posts. I apologize.

[identity profile] madeyemax.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Lol! Rainbows! *snort* XD

If you love the pairing, you should keep writing it. Let them just try to take away your H/G membership card! What the prudes don't realize is Ginny's as pervy as they come. She must be. She's a Weasley for crissakes!

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
They haz the power.

I am going to. I love family!Potter. Which will be very clear when my <lj user="hp_spring_fling" comes about. They are going to take away my H/G membership card. But that's okay. Because GINNY IS KINKY. Remember when I wrote pegging with preggers!Ginny? Lol. I'm surprised they didn't take away my card then.

[identity profile] redheadsarehot.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
*sigh* I'm sorry there is so much drama in the group that is for your OTP (i just learned from your reply that they are). Sucks that its rattled you a bit, but you handled it marvelously :D *HUGS* Anonymous probably can't write him/herself out of a paper bag!

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you'd never know it's my OTP from where I am now. LOL. I did, once upon a time, gasp! at any and all slash. Oh how far my preconceived notions have fallen. *snerk*

but you handled it marvelously Thank you. I hoped that I did. But you never know.

[identity profile] redheadsarehot.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehe I love hearing about people that would gasp at slash and have now changed :) Sadly (or fortunately, depends on who you are hehe) I have always been a pervert and was all about porn ever since I was a teenager (especially gay man porn HEEEEEEEEEE!) and still am as an old almost 30 year old wife and mom. I guess you never grow out of it ;)

Who would have thought that a fandom for a children's book would bring you to 'the dark side' ;) ;)

[identity profile] softly-sweetly.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
That was some impressive wank... and you handled it in a very mature way *applauds*

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It was. It was also my first wank. lol.

Thank you very much.

[identity profile] softly-sweetly.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
So your cherry was popped? I hope it was good for you!

[identity profile] stmargarets.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, dear. I really hate to see this:

I was going to start my rarities but it's a very unfamiliar pairing and I'm going to wait until my confidence comes back a little stronger.

I hope you don't mind my dropping in on your journal since you don't know me, but I was concerned about you after I read that mean review at [livejournal.com profile] takingitinturns. Your reply didn't give any of this away, mind you - it was wonderfully even-handed and very articulate and should have made the flamer ashamed of her/himself.

I know [livejournal.com profile] r_becca is upset about this, too. She doesn't have challenges to set people up for flames - she just wants more lovely fan fiction for all of us to read. Your piece was a great addition to the challenge, not just because it was funny and light-hearted (it was) but because it dared to show family in a different way while still keeping within the spirit of the books.

I was puzzled by some of your reviews, saying it was a crack fic. To me, there was something serious going on behind the humor. A family is what Harry always wanted in canon and in this story you showed just what he ended up with - a messy, imperfect, lovable family that is worth coming home to. I'm sorry that your flamer couldn't see that.

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't mind at all. I have a flocked journal but I thought people would see the wank and want to see what I thought/said so I opened this post up a little just for this very reason of people stopping by. I was concerned about you after i read that mean review. Aww, thank you! I'm glad my reply was received well. I was worried. eek. And I knew that no matter what I said- they weren't going to like it. And after the second reply, I didn't think it was worth it.

The first thing I thought when I read this was: [livejournal.com profile] r_becca is not going to be pleased. Because she's so sweet and always has such fabulous fests. I didn't want to wank to fall on her watch. And for her to be gone while it was all taking place! Poor her. Seriously, I felt so bad.

Family is such a powerful thing for Harry. And I love this notions that Harry would just embrace all the chaos and teenage fighting because it's something he never had. And you know, some people have really cemented ideas about their characters and I totally respect that. Which is why I think that people label it a crack!fic because if they didn't, then they couldn't leave a nice review. Lol.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. It was awfully sweet of you.

[identity profile] luvscharlie.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)

I actually really never thought of it in quite this way. I loved the fic regardless, but I really like your take on this. I think it's a great perspective.

[identity profile] lemondrop34.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, crap. Just when I've found you, now I think you might not right anymore "dad Harry" or H/G...

*wah*

Fuckin' flamers!!!!

I really, really liked your story, your dialogue and your humor. And I am completely and utterly straight, btw. But I live in city with a HUGE gay community, have gay friends, blah, blah, blah. Slash is not shocking to me in the least.

But I think what upset people the most was that "Charlie going after Al" line. I know you meant it in humor and I still can't believe others didn't.

Sigh.

This is just a long-ass way of me saying I hope you don't stop writing for H/G. I mean, if you want to. I understand if you just want to take a deep dive into slash. I normally don't read it 'cuz fanfic slash writers seem to be obsessed with Harry/Draco pairings which just makes me throw up in my mouth. I'm a strictly canon-pairing gal.

But you're so freakin' funny that I'll take a look at your stuff.

In fact, would you friend me? This way I don't have to search around for ya. Thanks!

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't stop writing. I just need some time to recoup! Lol. The wank makes a girl tired. All puns totally intended.

I do write mostly slash. lol. But I'm kind of a canon!whore, so you never know what will happen next. And THIS slashwriter, is a non-D/Her. So no worries here!!

I'm friending you as we speak, thanks for taking the time to come over and say hello!

[identity profile] lemondrop34.livejournal.com 2009-04-05 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks! I friended you too!

I'm not really a writer, but I dabble in the H/G-ness every once in awhile.

Anyway, thanks again for a great story! I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

[identity profile] nuclearsugars.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
SO, I decided that I'm friending you because I'm a big queer, too and no matter what that anon said, I think you're a brilliant writer on the merits of your [livejournal.com profile] hp_springsmut and the H/G I just read. :D

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yay for big queers united!

Thank you very much. You've been added back.

[livejournal.com profile] hp_springsmut was so fun to write this year. I've been waiting for reveals all day long.

[identity profile] liriop.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
I'd just want to apologize for coming into your LJ to reprimand your friends that were assuming things they shouldn't.

Since I'm here, I'd just like to say that I totally agree with StMargarets said. English is not my native language and I prefer not to speak too much because it is easy to be misinterpreted, but as the lovely StMargarets said exactly what I think (both about the wonderful way you handled with that anonymous poster and about your fic), I guess I don't need to be repetitive. Please don't leave the H/G part of the fandom. that anonymous poster is an exception among us, not the rule at all.

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Don't apologize for something you meant to do. They are their own people and they came to my aid- I love them dearly. *cuddles*

Thank you for stopping by though and letting me know you're supportive. I've never really fit into the H/G part of fandom, mostly because I'm a festwhore but I'm always around, reading H/G work on a whole. I'm just not very close with anyone in that fandom. You know?

Anyway! Thanks for stoppying by.

[identity profile] mindabbles.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 03:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey there,

Wow. This is disturbing--I was just dropping by to say again how I'd enjoyed your springsmut story. In a way it read like a classic remus/sirius (and I mean that as a compliment). I am also adding you, if that's okay. Someone named "loopy4lupin" friended me, and frankly I thought it was you, so I thought I already had! :)

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey!

It all kind of put a damper on the weekend. lol. But yeah.

Thanks for stopping by! I really enjoyed writing it read like a classic remus/sirius- that could only be taken as a compliment! I've added you back. I get the confusion all the time. It's rather amusing.

[identity profile] r-becca.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't let a couple of creeps stop you from writing Harry/Ginny, please! The wonderful thing about this pairing is that different writers can take the pairing in totally different directions -- Harry and Ginny can easily star in fluffy teen romance, mystery, angst, adult family storylines, or twisty dark plotlines equally. If one or two H/G fans are shocked at first, then that's good! Let them be shocked. Many more will find that they enjoy such stories, I think. :)

As I've been on vacation, I haven't had a chance to read your story yet but I'm looking forward to it. I think you handled the comments well... and the overwhelming response just goes to prove that there's no such thing as bad publicity!

[identity profile] loony4lupin.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I think we've got it all cleared up now- between me, [livejournal.com profile] deadwoodpecker and [livejournal.com profile] cibjasfad; we all seemed to survive the wank.

I should have known my unconventional family would raise a few eyebrows. I just thought I was being funny. Lol. Oh well, you win some and you loose some. This, I think is somewhere in between. ; ) I think initially I was rocked by the comment but as the days go on it's dimming. I have, successfully survived my first wank.

Thank you for being so supportive. Seriously. Between you and [livejournal.com profile] fireworksfiasco, this was handled so well by the mods and I felt throughly back up! You guys rocked.

there's no such thing as bad publicity!; isn't that the truth! I was really surprised at how many people came out. I think maybe it's the car accident thing; you just can't stop staring at the carnage. lol

Thank you!

Hey

[personal profile] bwilla 2017-09-30 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Sorry this has nothing to do with your post. I am trying to get a hold of deadwoodpecker, if anyone can help me.
